LANGUU ("we", "us", "our") operates the translation, transcription, captioning, and AI interpretation platform available at languu.com. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Account data — email address, name, and profile picture (from email/password sign-up or Google OAuth).
• Role preference — whether you use LANGUU as a Client or Linguist.
• Content you submit — text, documents, audio, and video files you upload for translation, transcription, captioning, or interpretation.
• Usage data — pages visited, features used, and error logs. No advertising trackers.

• To authenticate you and maintain your session.
• To process translation, transcription, captioning, and TTS requests using AWS services (Amazon Translate, Transcribe, Textract, Polly).
• To queue human review (HITL) jobs when you request it.
• To send transactional emails (verification codes, invitations).
• To improve the platform through aggregated, anonymised usage analytics.

We use the following third-party processors:

• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — cloud infrastructure, storage (S3), database (DynamoDB), AI services, and Cognito for authentication.
• Google OAuth — optional sign-in method. We receive your name, email, and profile picture only.

We do not sell your data to any third party.

• Uploaded files (audio, video, documents) are stored in S3 and may be deleted after processing is complete.
• Job records in DynamoDB are retained for 90 days then purged.
• Account data is retained until you delete your account.

Depending on your location you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

We use a single session cookie set by NextAuth to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256 via AWS). Authentication is handled by AWS Cognito. We do not store passwords.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
